Ok, we've bandied this about enough, my droogies. I now present to you TEAM ENGLISH : CafePress.com. To quote from the site, "You teach English and love poetry but you are no namby-pamby panty-waist! You ride your bike up 6% grades with ease and have a killer outside jump shot. You split infinitives and undangle modifiers with glee. You bowl consistently over 90 and love to talk shit about those wimps in the Philosophy Department."The only question I have is who is going to be the one to buy Stephen the shirt?
We definitely need to have a TEAM ENGLISH day. Hightouch? Is this a 5 Year Plan Committee mission?

Go Team English! I think we'll need to get a clipboard for playmaking, and we'll also have to start putting our hands together in a circle and shouting inspirational stuff--or dense literary allusions--before and after meetings in an effor to intimidate other departments.

I wish Cafe Press had a clipboard. I will check into it. They do have magnets, however. I've made those. Oh and a tote bag. What kind of NCTE-going, book-reading ENGLISH NERD are you if you don't have a tote bag?
I like your coaching plan. I could have used your help yesterday. I nearly got ejected on a technical foul.

We could take up a secret collection at the dept. meeting, next Fri. Also should get bumper stickers, buttons, and rulers and pencils and pens. Red pens. Lots of them.
